Matthew 21:28 - 46
God fully expects that Jesus’s disciples will sanctify themselves entirely by repenting entirely of their sins – that is, both turning their backs to sin and pursuing God’s righteousness – that they may offer as fruit worthy of their repentance God’s glorious kingdom that, in Jesus’s redeeming work, only has “come near” (see Matt 4:17).
The entire sanctification disciples offer to God, under the Holy Spirit’s guidance and in cooperation with all God’s means of grace, is actual, active living as graciously, mercifully, forgivingly, and lovingly as Jesus lived. Cf. Eph 5:1-2.
Failing our responsibly graceful discipleship, we suffer court martial, with God’s kingdom being taken from us and given over to those who will realize it. See Matt 21:43.
